My husband needed a safety alarm urgently. He had experienced falls and was suffering from fairly long-standing dementia. Luckily Guardian was recommended to us and would be accepted under the guidelines of our care group. We first of all thought that a watch would be the best device, but on trial found that my husband could not manage to work with it because of problems with hands etc. The watch was taken back with no problems and we then asked for a pendant. This fitted our requirements perfectly and at all times we were treated with courtesy and assistance by the staff that we had contacted. All is now going well and we are very pleased that our husband and father is now much safer.

I haven’t used it yet but I do find the pendant a little heavy AND the flashing lights are distracting. Was at the movies and the lights are so bright that they shone through my shirt and people were watching. Can the light be dimmed or switched off??
